We will attend to the details so that you and your group members can focus on enjoying your stay and having a great event.
Whether you have a Pastor’s Retreat of 15, a Children’s or Youth Event of 175, or a Church Retreat of up to 120, Camp Gilead looks forward to serving you!

Camp Gilead is located in Polk City, FL, just 25 minutes from Walt Disney World, centrally located between Tampa and Orlando just off of I-4 at exit 44. We are only 1.5 miles off of the interstate, but when you pull in, it feels as though you’re miles from anywhere!

Meeting Spaces

At Camp Gilead, we have 2 meeting spaces that are able accommodate groups of up to 175 guests. We also have 5 other smaller areas that may be used for smaller groups or as breakout rooms. Depending on the needs and objectives of your retreat, we have a meeting location that’s perfect for you.

Lodging

Camp Gilead offers many different options for overnight stays:

Studio Apartments

These beautifully appointed studio-style apartments sleep up to 4 guests and are based on availability. Are best suited for Pastors, Speakers, or Group Leaders. All apartments feature a Queen bed, fold-out couch, kitchen, and a private bathroom. Linens are provided.

Apartments

These beautifully appointed suite-style apartments sleep up to 6 guests and are based on availability. Are best suited for families. All apartments feature a kitchen and a private bathroom, 2 Queen beds, and fold-out couch. Linens are provided.

Lodge Rooms

This historic lakefront motel-style facility features ten rooms, that sleep 2 to 3 guests. Each has a private bathroom with shower/tub combo, air-conditioning, and a view of the gorgeous Lake Helene. Some rooms are adjoining to accommodate larger families. Each room has access to the large, furnished deck that overlooks the lake. Linens are provided.

Cabins

Our clean and spacious cabins are climate-controlled for your comfort, and feature wooden bunk beds and mattresses. Guests provide their own linens. Some cabins feature indoor restrooms, and others have clean, spacious, and well-appointed restroom facilities just a few short steps behind the cabin.

RV Hookups

Camp Gilead offers a beautiful site for your guests coming in an RV! We have a total of six sites, each with water, sewer, and electricity hook-ups. Customize your group’s experience for guests that desire the freedom to bring their home with them!

Tent Camping

Bring your group for a weekend of tent camping! Camp Gilead offers 33 acres of serenity, where tents can be set up nearly anywhere, at the convenience of your group. This style of lodging is primitive but includes nearby restroom facilities. Get back to basics with a fun tent camping weekend!

The Oasis Snack Shop

The Oasis is a great spot to connect with your group and build bonds that will last a lifetime. Let us know the hours you would like your guests to be able to shop in our gift shop and purchase snacks, and we will make it happen! We offer seasonal candy, slushies, soda, chips/crackers, ice cream treats, and much more! Enjoy your snacks with indoor or outdoor seating.

Dining Hall

Our dining hall seats up to 175 guests using rectangular tables and bench seating. Surrounded by a beautiful courtyard, this facility is a relaxing place to dine. Everyone must eat, and why not eat in style in our air-conditioned, tiled dining hall with windows all around. We offer complete food service and will work with you to customize your menu to the tastes of your guests. We can accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice (i.e.: gluten-free, vegetarian, etc).
